In his first interview since the tragic event – which killed four people and severely injured former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker – the musician recalled how he managed to break free of the wreckage following the crash last month.

The DJ, real name Adam Goldstein, said: “After Travis opened the emergency door, there was fire everywhere. I tried to cover my face as I jumped through a fireball. As soon as I hit the ground, I remembered, ‘Stop, drop and roll.’ So I started rolling.”

The 35-year-old star – who has undergone several medical procedures to treat the severe burns all over his body – also expressed his amazement at surviving the crash.

He said: “My emotions go back and forth. I can’t believe I made it. I’m just grateful.”
