The fashion designer and footballer – who have children Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, eight, and 21-month-old daughter Harper together – are currently renting a £2 million mansion in Kensington after moving over from Los Angeles in January, ahead of David’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

Victoria, 39, wants to stay in the Kensington and Chelsea area, just over the river from her Battersea design studio, but David – who turned 38 yesterday (02.05.13) – favours the the Notting Hill option.

“David would prefer Notting Hill, close to people like his best pal David Gardner,” a source told The Sun.

“But Victoria would like their family home to be slightly removed.”

“They’ve been happy renting so far, with Victoria spending most of the week in London with the kids, while David stays in a luxury pad in Paris.

“But they’re feeling settled back in Europe, and Victoria has expanded her fashion business in London, so it makes sense to sort out a home.”

The couple are so serious about the move that they hope to put their US property on the market as soon as they can.

The source added: “While they still have ties in LA, when the US housing market gets back on track, there’s a good chance they’ll sell up there.”
