The brunette beauty – who looked stunning in a blue Zac Posen dress at the UK premiere of the movie in London’s Leicester Square last night (20.10.08) – is expected to attend the prestigious ceremony in New York on 2 December.
Anne and her co-stars face competition from Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz and Rebecca Hall – who have been nominated in the same category for their roles in Woody Allen’s upcoming movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona – as well as the cast of movies Ballast, Synecdoche, New York and The Visitor.
Michelle Byrd, the Executive Director for non-profit film organisation IFP who run the awards, said: “2008 has proven to be an extremely strong year for an immensely diverse group of filmmakers tackling a range of subjects and forms in new and dynamic ways.”
