Anne Hathaway has poked fun at her criminal ex-boyfriend on Saturday Night Live.

The Devil Wears Prada actress – who was left devastated after Raffaello Follieri was charged with federal wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering – joked about her troubled relationship just minutes into her opening monologue on the hit US TV show.
She said: “This summer, I broke up with my boyfriend and two weeks later he was sent to prison for fraud! I mean, we’ve all been there, right, ladies?”
Anne’s humorous attitude to her personal life may have come as a shock to viewers after the actress looked uncomfortable when US talk show host David Letterman quizzed her about Raffaello on TV last week.
However, friends of the brunette beauty insist she is determined to put her turbulent year behind her.
One pal said: “Anne is so moving on. People didn’t really give her enough credit when she was in the middle of it all. News flash – she’s always been fun and a little self-deprecating.”
Anne’s appearance on Saturday Night Live attracted one of the show’s highest rating figures since 2002.
