It’s hard not to prefix the word ‘thriller’ with its constant companion, ‘taut’. Thrillers are all about the careful, calculated build up of suspense as our hero/heroine is tracked through the dark streets of a strange town until we reach that point just before he/she can’t take it no more, is then saved by love or luck, and emerges beaten, but better.
