Blood – check; gore – of course; now, go heavy on the mascara, light faces from below and all you need is a plot. Suddenly, a bat cries, a door slams, woodwork squeaks and out come the freaks to wreak hell on a poor unsuspecting new householder/villager/disbeliever in the supernatural.
