The weather might be all the excuse you need to spend the long weekend slumped on the sofa stuffing your face with cream eggs, but there’s only so many price comparison adverts anyone can take. Here’s a peep at some of the Easter events going on:

Kew Gardens always puts on a top show at Easter and this time around there’s a presentation of the history of chocolate as well as an egg hunt known as the Chocolate Quest.
On the other side of London at the Cutty Sark, there’s another egg hunt, with a top prize of a family ticket to the Camp Bestival festival.
South London open spaces like Clapham Common and Brockwell Park are also running egg hunts, just two of many London parks running similar races.
Central London Easter events include an invitation to help decorate giant eggs – not the pods themselves – at the London Eye and, for when the chocolate limit is reached*, a seemingly egg-free kids craft session at the London Transport Museum.
* Clearly that unhappy state doesn’t apply to everyone e.g. I’ll be stuck in a motorway traffic jam scoffing the eggs bought for relatives’ kids.
