The university’s collection is now in storage, but the founder of the Brooking Collection, Charles Brooking, still maintains his own museum at his home in Cranleigh Surrey. His collection documents the evolution of the window, door, fanlight, staircase, firegrate, rainwater head and timber moulding; it is only open by appointment (014 832 74203) and once a year on Heritage Open Days.
