A biopic of Cantopop singer and actress Anita Mui, affectionately known as the "daughter of Hong Kong", who died at 40 after a cervical cancer diagnosis, the same age as her sister Ann. As young children in the late 1960s, Anita and Ann sing together in talent shows. In 1982, Ann kindly steps aside to allow Anita to shine as a solo artist in a major talent search. She wins a recording contract and begins her meteoric rise to fame at Capital Management.
