Ezra Furman

Psych-infused indie-rock from the eclectic singer.

The indie-rock artist from Chicago, Illinois takes to the stage to perform his latest psychedelic-infused tracks.

Gender-bending indie-rocker Ezra Furman was forced to reschedule this London date back in May in order to deal with a family matter. Thankfully, the psych-infused singer-songwriter is in top form as he prepares to promote the release of his new album, Transangelic Exodus, with colourful support from Gengahr and Du Blonde.

2016 was a busy year for Ezra, he spent the majority of it touring his breakout album Perpetual Motion People (released on Bella Union) across Europe, America and the UK, including appearances at BBC 6 Music Festival, End of The Road, Greenman, Reading and Leeds and SXSW, culminating in a sold out show in October at The Roundhouse in London. Perpetual Motion People, recorded with Furman's band, The Boyfriends, delivers a cascade of memorably bristling hooks driven by a unique splicing of timeless influences, delivered with a restless urgency and combative spirit that shines through the American's vocals and lyrics. Perpetual Motion People was exceptionally well received across the board. Following the release of the album, Ezra put out a 6 track EP entitled Big Fugitive Life, which Ezra dedicated to refugees of all kinds, all over the world. Described by Q as a 'vital force' , Ezra is currently writing and recording his next album and having taken his time to work his way into the public consciousness, Furman's time is unquestionably now, as he finally faces an expectant audience hungry for the next stage of his thrilling approach, on record and on stage.
