Plucky teenager Sophie is drawn to the Welsh countryside with her friends to investigate the myth of a vicious beast. The pals venture into the wilderness and are attacked, and Sophie wakes disoriented some hours later, trapped in a room. Outside, a stranger called Gavin tells her that he is protecting her from the beast and she must not stray outside. As time passes, the stricken girl begins to wonder if Gavin is telling the truth.
