Belgian schoolteacher Murielle falls madly in love with handsome Moroccan immigrant Mounir. They move in together in the house that Mounir shares with his mentor and sponsor, Doctor Pinget, who married Mounir’s sister in order to secure a visa to live in France. Murielle and Mounir begin to raise a family and at first they are blissfully happy. However, the wife begins to notice the influence that the medic exerts over his protege and she struggles to prize Mounir away from Pinget.
