Joseph and his wife Brenda retired to Nimes, where they are relishing the twilight years of their 50-year marriage. However, dinner at the same restaurants is beginning to lose its lustre and both Joseph and Brenda hanker for a spark to rekindle their relationship. By chance they meet a young couple, Mark and Suzanne, who are holidaying in the region. This chance encounter has dramatic repercussions for Joseph, who decides to make dramatic changes to his mundane routine.
