The group revealed when their daily regime of personal appearances, parties, performances and recording gets too much they take a trip to their “love guru” – a humanitarian and spiritualist from South India – who cuddles them until they feel better.

They are also firm believers in karma and reincarnation, and feel they are bound together spiritually.

Band member Melody Thornton said: “I think we all knew each other in a different life.”

To back up her claim, Melody explains she and bandmate Ashley Roberts both play with their hair in the same way, while a psychic once told the pair they are eternally bound to Jessica Sutta.

Explaining more about the group’s beliefs, founder Robin Antin said: “We’ve all gotten into this book, Many Lives, Many Masters. It’s about reincarnation, finding your soul mate, and people who are in your lives for a reason.”

The band – who are set to release their second album Doll Domination later this month which includes solo tracks by all five members – have also revealed they are all planning to release solo records.

Singer Kimberly Wyatt told Blender magazine: “It’s what we’ve been waiting for. We all want individual success.”

Lead singer Nicole Scherzinger has already had a stab at a solo career having released several singles, but claims she decided to “hold off” releasing her album Her Name Is Nicole so she could concentrate on her career within the band.

Nicole said: “I didn’t want to lose the momentum of the Pussycat Dolls. That train’s been moving so fast.”
