A digitally restored version of the complete silent film accompanied by an evocative score composed and conducted by Carl Davis. The picture follows Napoleon from his early days on the island of Corsica to his military success on the French mainland, where he advances through the ranks, overcoming scheming rivals, political machinations and Mother Nature to achieve his destiny. The beautiful Josephine de Beauharnais wins his heart and Napoleon marries her as he is promoted to Commander-in-Chief.
