A loosely structured documentary, which chronicles the trials and tribulations of four of Italy’s winegrowers. Giovanna Tiezzi and Stefano Borsa honour their Etruscan heritage by making wine in a converted 11th century monastery while Milanese refugees Corrado Dottori and Valerio Bochi produce excellent vintages on their grandfather’s farmstead. Former librarian Elena Pantaleoni strives for perfection in her father’s vineyards in Emilia, and radical poet Stefano Bellotti upsets the status quo from the relative safety of his farm in the Piedmont.
