TONIGHT is set to be London’s busiest night out of the year, with office Christmas parties predicted to fill out bars, clubs and restaurants all over town.

Mini-cab company Addison Lee – London’s biggest – say that it is due to ferry home twice the number of people as usual, based on an analysis of its booking records.

“December, always a busy and exciting time in London, has really picked up and we are expecting a record year. I think people are choosing to have a few really major nights out this month rather than spread out their partying.”

“Tonight and Friday are set to see a record-number of parties as Londoners enjoy their festive celebrations,” said Liam Griffin, boss of Addison Lee.

“We’re looking forward to transporting partygoers no matter what time of the day or night – even if you live south of the river”.

If last year’s busiest-night records from Addison Lee are anything to go by, it’s those wild party animals, the auditors, you need to look out for. Out of the company’s corporate account customers, they stayed out the second latest, after media-types, with bankers the most likely to clear off home early.

Across the job categories, tomorrow (14.12.25) is likely to be the the day in the year the least work gets done, outside of bank holidays, as London’s partygoers nurse their hangovers and try to avoid eye-contact with the one in accounts with whom they shared a broom cupboard at midnight.
