London Mela Dances into Gunnersbury Park

GUNNERSBURY Park plays host to the annual London Mela this Sunday (8 August), the seventh year of the celebration of South Asian music, arts and culture.

At least 100,000 visitors are expected to taste its sounds, sights and flavours spread over nine themed zones, including areas devoted to dance, urban music, circus performers and a Magic Mela for children.

Food is also a crucial aspect of the Mela and once again they've laid on 25 food outlets covering a staggering variety of tastes.

New this year is a link-up with the Melas in Cardiff and Edinburgh which take place on the same day. DJs from the BBC Asian Network will go all out to appear at all three events.
