Celebrate the next bank holiday with Supergrass, Kate Nash and Gossip as Clapham Common is swarmed by some of music’s hottest acts. This is the fifth year for the Get Loaded in the Park festival, and the 2008 show is taking off as the fastest-selling yet.

Headliner rock band Iggy & The Stooges are performing their only UK show at Get Loaded, the capital’s favourite indie-rock-electro fest. Bow native Wiley is also set to take the stage with hits like Wot Do U Call It? and Wearing My Rolex.

The Hives, Sweden’s struttingest rockers, and North London’s own The Holloways are just a few of the other not-to-miss performers. The latter four-member band, formed on Holloway Road, are gaining credit as one of the UK’s best new indie acts, and they’ll be out in full force with tracks from their new XXXXXX album.

With all day Monday off work, there’s no excuse not to stop by – and stay late. A dedicated concert-lover never needs an excuse to get loaded.
