As the world wakes up to an altogether gloomier 2009, nothing puts more of a smile on your face than the escapism of a summer festival. Flip flops and funny hats, face paints and a funky ‘tache… yes folks this year’s festival season is fast approaching, and we are delighted to reveal the all important dates for this summer’s two-day Clapham Weekender.

Resuming duties on our favourite bit of grass Clapham Common, for a sixth consecutive summer, Get Loaded In The Park and South West Four will be kicking off the August Bank Holiday weekend in traditional fashion with dance-all-dayer South West Four on Saturday 29th August, followed by the indie-dance-loving Get Loaded in the Park on Sunday 30th August.
Lambeth Council have just granted the licence for 2009, so we’re expecting another sell out 40,000 crowd, split across the two days.
