Public, the King’s Road nightspot frequented by Prince Harry, other royals and the Made in Chelsea set, is being forced to close.

Run by Guy Pelly – a close friend of Harry and his brother Prince William – the posh people’s club is shutting following complaints it had become a “public nuisance.”
Complaints had been lodged by locals over patrons fighting, vomiting, urinating and yelling obscenities outside the club, named by police as the area’s “number one crime generator”.
In the wake of this, the club had its 2am opening licence revoked and put back to midnight. Pelling lost his appeal to stay open longer and has now taken the decision to close the club.
A post on the venue’s Facebook page read: “We hope everyone will remember Public with affection. We certainly will.”
However, the closure is unlikely to be the end of Pelling’s nightclub ventures, as he has vowed to open another.
A source close to the venue told The Sun: “We may have lost this one – but we’re determined to re-open somewhere else.”
