CHERYL COLE has had a secret date with ex-husband Ashley Cole, days after splitting up with dancer Derek Hough.

The Girls Aloud/Chelsea FC pair were spotted in an unnamed London restaurant on Saturday night, where Ashley is thought to have provided a shoulder for Cheryl to lean on as she weighs up her career options.
She might also have offered him a bit of sympathy after he was injured out of England’s match with Switzerland earlier the same day.
While Cheryl is possibly torn between two ex-lovers, the Girl Aloud star also looks to be torn between two versions of the X Factor, as it is still in the balance whether she will carry on with the show’s US incarnation or return to the UK original.
“It’s far from certain she’ll say yes,” said a source on the prospects of Cheryl heading back to New York for US X Factor.
Last week, Cheryl was thought to have been booted off the American version of the talent show, but has now been invited back on by the X Factor boss Simon Cowell.
Ashley and Cheryl have met a number of times since the start of the year, but the official word is that any prospect of a permanent reunion is “bo*****s”.
