Duchess Catherine will have to change clothes six times on Christmas Day if she is to be accepted into the royal fold.
The pressure will be on the former Kate Middleton to come up with the right number of outfits as she spends her first Christmas Day with the in-laws, according to royal watchers.
"She won't be able to wear the same outfit twice," etiquette expert Jean Broke-Smith told Grazia magazine.
"Catherine will need: a casual outfit for breakfast; a smart outfit for the morning church service; a dress for lunch; a cocktail dress for early evening drinks, and a full-length dress for the evening meal."
Broke-Smith is perhaps too coy to mention the night-time, but unless the wife of the future king goes naked to bed, a nightdress makes it six clothes changes in one day.
