Walsh has stepped up to defend the honour of her Girls Aloud bandmate after rumours again circulated that the X Factor judges shared more than just a desk.
“When I read a story that Cheryl and Simon are more than just friends, I laughed out loud,” Walsh told OK.
“Let me set the record straight: there’s no truth in it. I can categorically say that is not the case and it’s so far off the mark.”
Walsh also looked into her crystal ball to see if Cole and Cowell would ever get it on and the answer from the future is a resounding “No!”.
“I have no idea if Cheryl would go for an older man, but it wouldn’t be Simon,” said Walsh.
“They work together, they’re good friends, but that’s it.”
