P Diddy: UK hip-hop to break in US
- 'I look forward to great things,' he says

P DIDDY has backed British hip-hop to hit the big time in the US.
"UK hip-hop is on the verge of breaking," said the rapper/businessman
"I've always been abreast and respected the UK hip-hop scene and I look forward to great things."
When Diddy says UK hip-hop, he really means London hip-hop.
Two of London's finest, Jay Sean and Taio Cruz have already scored number one hits on the American charts and three other London-bred acts – Chipmunk, Skepta and Tinie Tempah – have worked with the man Diddy himself.
Diddy sees the UK/London scene as now having matured enough to make the grade across the Atlantic, hitting an authentic note he reckons was lacking previously.
"Just like the way in the US it took time for the south and the west coast to break, it's the same thing," Diddy told the BBC.
"I think in the past maybe some of the UK hip-hop artists weren't as authentic to where they come from."
"It's all right to be from the UK and it's all right to talk about what you want to talk about and not try to sound or be like somebody from the US."
"Hip-hop respects something that's authentic."
What the f*** is Diddy talking about? The artist he's talking about, has got nothing to do with real UK hip-hop. They come from grime invasion of mcs! They're not rappers and have no connection with real hip hop (ie Mudd fam skinny man klashnekoff people like that are real UK hip-hop). When the US can accept that, then Diddy can talk, but right now he's just blowing air. In fact, the so called UK rappers he is referring to are acting more like US rappers than UK ones. The clothes, the jewellery, the auto tune and the videos are blatant copies of what's going on in the US... open your eyes Diddy mate!!!
