Noel Gallagher to play Royal Albert Hall

NOEL GALLAGHER is to play his first (and second) live gig since breaking up Oasis last year, as part of The Who's Teenage Cancer Trust concerts at the Royal Albert Hall.

That's not the only coup for the Teenage Cancer Trust, which has also lured Foo Fighters main man Dave Grohl to appear in the guise of Them Crooked Vultures, his supergroup side-project, which features Joshua Homme and John Paul Jones.

Among other highlights booked for the charity's tenth anniversary series are Britpop pioneers Suede, 80s ska legends The Specials and comedian Jimmy Carr, plus, of course, The Who themselves.

"When The Who first got together in 2000 to raise money for this brilliant charity, I had no idea we'd achieve so much from these shows," said The Who's Roger Daltrey.

"Our 10th anniversary shows are set to break all records for Teenage Cancer Trust."

Teenage Cancer Trust Line-Up in Full:

17 February – Depeche Mode
22 March – Them Crooked Vultures
23 March – Jimmy Carr, Noel Fielding and Rhod Gilbert
24 March - Suede
25 March – Noel Gallagher
