Slumdog, Winslet get Oscar nods

But Benjamin Button bags the most

Kate Winslet Eyes Bafta DoubleSLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE has bagged ten nominations for this year's Oscars to follow the 11 that British director Danny Boyle's film gained at the Baftas.

But even that wasn't enough to lead the pack for Hollywood's glamour night on 22 February as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was handed a staggering 13 nods.

The two movies are up against each other for Best Picture and Best Director awards, which are usually seen as the main gongs of the night.

Competing with the pair for both are Frost/Nixon, Milk and The Reader, which also attracted a nod for this season's award-magnet, Kate Winslet.
