Happy-Go-Lucky's Sally Hawkins dominates US Critics Awards



Happy-Go-LuckySally Hawkins was named Best Actress at the weekend by the Boston Film Critics for her performance in Mike Leigh's HAPPY-GO-LUCKY, the latest in a run of victories that included recent Best Actress nods from the two most prestigious critics bodies in the US - New York and Los Angeles. The New York Critics also honoured Mike Leigh for Best Director, while the Los Angeles Critics gave him the Best Screenplay award.

Hawkins was also nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical, and HAPPY-GO-LUCKY was nominated as Best Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical).

HAPPY-GO-LUCKY was released in the UK by Momentum Pictures.
