Award winning, eclectic band Hot Chip will be performing a special live DJ set at the Creating Sense5 party on Thursday 4th June at The Arches in London. The exclusive one-off event marks the arrival of 5 gum and takes inspiration from the five human senses.
The award winning quintet are making one of their few live appearances of the year at the sensorially inspired event which they helped to curate, and will even be previewing some of their new material for the crowd.
Through a competition with VICE magazine, hot new talent was sought to create elements of the event which like the gum, stimulates the senses. Along with a panel of optimally attuned experts, such as alcoholic architecture duo Bompas & Parr, music film director Kinga Burza and stylist Nova Dando, Hot Chip personally selected the winners who will showcase their skills on the night alongside the group.
Hot Chip‘s special set will include vocals by lead singer Alexis, and will feature a sneak preview of new material from their forthcoming album released in 2010. The line-up, personally invited by Hot Chip, will feature a special appearance by Parisian electro-stars Noze, a duo of jazz influenced oddballs who are storming clubs across Europe and leaving behind inspired crowds of followers.
