Rain and her adopted brother Andy are desperate to escape the Jackson’s Star mining colony before they fall victim to the same lung disease as her parents. The pair join Rain’s ex-boyfriend Tyler, his sister Kay, cousin Bjorn and their tech-savvy pilot friend Navarro on a mission to scavenge cryogenic sleep pods from a decommissioned Weyland-Yutani Corporation space station. The treasure seekers are unaware that the abandoned facility is home to the most terrifying life form in the universe.

Baby orangutan Ozi is orphaned by a man-made fire started by palm oil behemoth Greenzar as part of its profit-driven deforestation. The blaze delivers Ozi to an orphanage run by conservationists Kirani and Robert, who teach the traumatised orangutan sign language. The “little hairy tweenager” becomes an internet sensation and embraces her influencer status to expose Greenzar’s shameful practices in the company of cheeky monkey Chance and fiercely loyal hippopotamus Honkus.

On August 30 2021, the US military completed its widely publicised withdrawal from Afghanistan. The Taliban assumed control and entered an American base in Kabul called Hollywood Gate, home to damaged weaponry and equipment including Black Hawk helicopters, jet fighters, small arms and munitions. Egyptian journalist Ibrahim Nash’at is granted limited access to the base as the Taliban rebuild Hollywood Gate and employ Hollywood-style propaganda to promote their standing in the world.
