Roddy Doyle

The celebrated Irish author is to bring one of his most famous books, The Commitments, to the West End stage, in the form of a musical at the Palace theatre. Hints on how the show might turn out came when Doyle revealed his inspiration. ‘Jersey Boys I found very inspiring because I loved the way the music actually drove the story,’ he said.
