WINTER WONDERLAND opens this weekend, one of the highlights of the growing number of Christmas-themed events popping up in London.

Set across a large chunk of Hyde Park, Winter Wonderland features the biggest ice-rink in London, a sizeable German Christmas market, something bouncy and scary called the Bungy Dome and a 55m big wheel (about the height of Nelson’s Column) which promises spectacular views over central London.

There’s also a toboggan slide, a helter-skelter, an old-fashioned type carousel, lots of Christmassy things to eat and drink and the occasional appearance by a fat, white-bearded man dressed almost exclusively in red. If you’re good, of course.

More info, opening times, prices etc. here.

Ice-skating tickets at Winter Wonderland need to be booked in advance. You can get them here.
