THE WALDORF Hilton hotel, one of London’s most prestigious five star establishments, was the location for what a judge called ‘medieval torture’ involving nipple clamps, hot wax and blood.

Southwark Crown Court heard yesterday that Finola McKenna, 46, and Neil Fagan, 61, had been meeting for S&M sex for several years, but that on 20 May 2009, things took a more sinister turn.

The court was told that Fagan, a top City lawyer, wanted to inflict a torture on McKenna to which she took exception and glassed him in the face, drawing blood.

Screams alerted the hotel manager Sufiyan Baig, who forced his way into the room to find Fagan, dressed in a thong and nipple clamps, covered in blood and hot wax. McKenna was naked, holding a broken champagne glass to her lover’s neck.

“It is clear to me he wanted you to do things to him such as dripping hot wax on him, and that he wanted to do things to you which you did not want to happen” said Judge Michael Gledhill QC, handing McKenna a conditional discharge.

“I have seen at least two implements which look to the untrained eye like medieval torture implements, and not surprisingly you didn’t want pain inflicted on you, and I accept that you told him that.”

McKenna was also given a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, for biting an officer on the ankle in the melee that followed the arrival of the police to the messy scene.

Fagan received a caution for possession of cocaine and cannabis.
