Heavily pregnant Georgina Condori leaves her shanty town on the outskirts of Peru on the promise of free medical assistance in the capital. She gives birth at a clinic and staff take away the infant for routine checks. The baby never returns. Accompanied by her partner Leo, Georgina searches in vain for her child but she faces a wall of silence from local authorities. When men in power refuse to help her, Georgina turns instead to newspaper reporter Pedro Campos to shed light on the outrage.
