In August 1969, a young Placido Domingo sang the title role in Verdi's opera Don Carlo at the Arena Di Verona amphitheatre opposite Spanish soprano Monserrat Caballe as Elisabetta. Fifty years later, he returned to the same stage for an anniversary gala evening to revisit three of his greatest roles: Nabucco, Simon Boccanegra and Macbeth. For one night only, cinema audiences can experience this special concert under the baton of conductor Jordi Bernacer.
