Born and raised in London, neurologist Oliver Wolf Sacks CBE gained worldwide attention for his treatment of disorders including encephalitis lethargica. In late 2014, he received a terminal cancer diagnosis and the following month, Sacks sat down with family and friends for a series of filmed interviews in his apartment in New York City. This documentary draws on those 80 hours of interviews, archive material and the recollections of family, close friends, colleagues and patients.
