Vincent Dayan is 12 years old and fast approaching his bar mitzvah against a turbulent backdrop of anti-fascist protests and rising unemployment in Paris. His parents Yves and Sandrine always seem to be arguing while his older brother Arnaud doesn't take an interest in his life. The adolescent hero struggles with familiar growing pains and questions about his identity and friendships as he stumbles through the no man's land between childish innocence and adulthood.
