According to legend, merchant's son Johnny was tricked into climbing a fire tower and fell to his death after someone scared him at the top. His demise was deemed accidental but Johnny's vengeful spirit continued to rise so a locket was placed on the tower to keep Johnny at bay. A group of teenagers stumbles upon the locket, unaware of its power. One of the group steals the trinket and unleashes Johnny to begin a new murderous rampage.
