Documentaring following Icelandic band Sigur Rus as they return home after a year touring the influential album Takk, and prepare to perform two weeks of free concerts for their countrymen and -women. With behind the scenes access, Heima shows the band members as they rework songs from all four albums, as well as exclusive performances of “Guitardjamm” inside an abandoned herring oil tank and “A Ferd Til Breidarfjardar 1922”, a haunting collaboration with poet Steindor Andersen.
