A documentary examining mankind’s fragile relationship with the natural world, through the life and tragic demise of wildlife preservationist Timothy Treadwell, a bear lover who ventured to Alaska to live among the grizzlies. The ferocious animals seemed to welcome Treadwell to their domain, living in harmony with the interloper, until October 2003 when a rogue grizzly killed the activist and his girlfriend. Ironically, Treadwell was killed by the animal that he spent years trying to protect and save.
