A Chinese teenager gains a new found appreciation for the joys of life by tending to the recently deceased in this respectful documentary. Spring In Heaven is one of the largest funeral homes in China where staff train on dummy bodies before they are let loose in the basement where morticians ply their trade. The film focuses on a shy teenager called Ying Ling, who is far from home but dedicated to her work even though she secretly harbours dreams of a more physically demanding profession.
