The crew of the cargo ship Nostromo is woken from cryogenic stasis by on-board computer Mother, which has detected a distress signal from a nearby moon. Captain Dallas and his team are obliged to investigate and they descend to the surface of LV-426 where they find an alien craft and a chamber containing hundreds of eggs. A creature hatches and attaches itself to Executive Officer Kane. Back on the Nostromo, the crew attempts to save Kane’s life but the nightmare is just beginning.
