“[Robbie] is back with Take That in the studio and they’re all writing together again,” a source told The Mirror.
Rumours of Robbie re-joining Take That have been doing the rounds almost since the singer left the boyband in 1995 and even more so after the rest of the group reformed in 2005.
Relations had been poisonous between the Rock DJ singer and the others, especially with Gary Barlow, but the pair made up two years ago, fuelling yet more rumours of a full-band reformation.
Since, 2005, Take That have put out new music and it is thought this is the latest sticking point in Robbie re-joining his former mates on a permanent basis.
“He wouldn’t be happy performing old Take That songs that he has had no part in,” said the Mirror’s source.
Nevertheless, the chances now seem stronger than ever that Robbie will turn up as a guest performer.
