Hardy Hill, the VIP Ambassador of South Beach’s The Opium Group nightclub, said: “Miami loves it when Owen it in town and we are all happy to see him back at work in our city.
“Owen attracted lots of attention when he was here last, and having a bit of Hollywood in South Florida is always great. We hope to see his face at some of our venues.”
Last year, Owen, 39, was taken to Santa Monica’s St. John’s Hospital after reportedly trying to slit his wrists.
Following his release, Owen dropped out of the Ben Stiller comedy ‘Tropic Thunder’, instead choosing to relax with friend Woody Harrelson in Peru and Miami Beach.
‘Marley and Me’ – which also stars Jennifer Aniston – is based on a memoir of a young columnist, John Grogan, who moves to South Florida with his wife and adopts a puppy called Marley.
Production on the romantic comedy begins in Miami on March 10.
‘Marley and Me’ is due to be released in December.
