Former Batman actor Keaton will provide the voice of Barbie’s boyfriend in the third instalment of the animated series.

Despite Ken and Barbie being a couple, they will not have an on-screen kiss, according to a studio insider.
The source said: “There’s an embrace, but no kissing. Toy executives want to keep Barbie’s squeaky clean image.”

Little is known about the plot of the film, other than it will feature characters from the first two films – including cowboy Woody and spaceman Buzz Lightyear – dumped into a day care centre, after their owner Andy leaves for college.

Tom Hanks returns to voice Woody, while funnyman Tim Allen will bring Buzz Lightyear to life again.
Other actors confirmed include Joan Cusack, John Ratzenberger and Jodi Benson.

Keaton, 56, has previously worked on another film by Toy Story creators Disney – playing Chick in 2006’s Cars. The movie, which has the working title Toy Story 3, is scheduled for release in June 2010.
