A source said: “She’ll be very disappointed not even to make it into the top 100.”

But Kylie has admitted cracking America is a daunting task.

She said: “It’s a notoriously difficult market. To know where I fit is very difficult.”

Kylie is not the first music star big in the UK to flop in the US.

Robbie Williams – who duetted with Kylie on the 2000 hit ‘Kids’ – has tried and failed on several occasions to make it in America.
