The 41-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child with lover Gabriel Aubry, plans to use only organic and environmentally-friendly products – even down to the nappies.

Halle, who proudly showed off her baby bump at the Hollywood premiere for her new film Things We Lost in the Fire on Monday (15.10.07), said: “They even have organic disposable diapers now that you can use.

“I’m working on the nursery, but it’s all going to be organic and eco-friendly. There are so many things out now that you can use. I’m going to really try hard to make it all organic!”

Halle and Gabriel were inseparable at the after-show party and the 32-year-old model was seen tenderly stroking the actress’ stomach and holding her hand.

Her co-stars presented her with a book of motherhood blessings, and Halle was seen reading the book during the party.

Halle doesn’t seem to need tips on how to be a good mother, as many of the child stars in Things We Lost in the Fire instantly sensed her maternal instinct.

The movie’s director Susanne Bier said: “She had no issue with being a mother. The kids on set were calling her mom. I think that proves it pretty much, that there was a natural thing where they were calling her mom.”

Halle added: “The ease I had with the children validated that I do have a really strong maternal instinct and I really do need to have children.”

Meanwhile, the Oscar-winning actress has revealed she is craving spicy food, but is determined to keep in shape during her pregnancy.

She said: “I am craving everything hot! Spicy things like peppers. Lots of hot food!

“I am trying to work out and eat healthy. I want to keep it together for as long as I can.”
