The Training Day actor and Ryan – who used to work as a nanny looking after Ethan’s two children, 10-year-old Maya Ray and six-year-old Levon Roan, with ex-wife Uma Thurman – are “thrilled” with the new arrival, according to his agent Mara Buxbaum.
A close friend of the couple said: “I expect that they should be very good parents. They both love children, and they love each other – I know they are thrilled.”
Ethan recently revealed he considers fatherhood to be the most important part of his life, adding: “Maya and Levon are the greatest pleasure in my life. It’s the only role that, if I fail, I will consider my life a failure.”
Ethan, 37, and 28-year-old Ryan married last month in a secret ceremony.
Ethan was nominated for an Oscar for his role in Training Day in 2001. He will appear in New York, I Love You which is released next year.
