DURAN DURAN plan to team up with England star Rio Ferdinand to make a World Cup song.

Based on the band’s 80s hit, Rio, the track would help fill the gap left by the absence of an official England World Cup song for the tournament to be held in South Africa this summer.
“Simon and Rio are old mates,” a source told The Mirror.
Ferdinand fancies himself as the singer – “I want to be the front man! Simon Le Bon’s gone, just give me a couple of bars” – and help could be on hand from top producers and peformers.
“Mark Ronson has been in touch, and would be up for remastering, as has Nick Hodgson, from the Kaiser Chiefs,” said the source.
