The Orla Kiely outerwear – which features a walnut brown print with brown birds – was no longer available on the website just hours after she was seen wearing it in Oxford yesterday.

The 30-year-old beauty purchased the coat on sale, down from £325 to just £163.50.

According to a spokesperson from the brand – a favourite of celebrities including Keira Knightley and Alexa Chung – the item sold out “within minutes” after an “absolute frenzy” on the site following Catherine’s public appearance in Oxford in her role as patron of charity The Art Room.

In December a dress worn by Duchess Catherine – who married Prince William in a glittering ceremony at London’s Westminster Abbey last year – sold out soon after she was pictured in it.

The black and white tulip dress by Spanish high-street brand Zara became unavailable on its website or stores after she wore it to a Gary Barlow concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
